Omega Constellation Pie Pan, 1961, Stainless Steel,
Calendar Date, Beads of Rice Bracelet
OMEGA is the last letter of the Greek alphabet and symbolises accomplishment
and perfection. The first Omega Constellation Pie Pan was released in 1952 as
an answer to Rolex’s Datejust, with many versions released over the following
18 year production period. Since 1952 the Omega Constellation has been
among the highest level of Luxurious and precise watches. The Constellation
was the flagship watch from Omega for several decades. The Constellation got
its name from the emblem on the caseback, which shows an observatory with
eight stars above it. The eight stars symbolize two chronometer records, and
six first-place awards that Omega earned between 1933 and 1952. The 14393
61 SC case model was released in 1961 and featured an Omega Chronometer
certified automatic 561 Calibre movement, known in the 60s for its accuracy
and reliability. The watch has a case size of 35mm, making it a comfortable
vintage fit for all wrists. The watch is fitted with an original Omega acrylic
crystal and comes with the original Constellation crown.
